Wings of Fire #4- The Dark Secret
By: Tui T. Sutherland
Do you want to read about a Mudwing, Sandwing, Seawing, Rainwing, and a Nightwing? Or how about the Dragonets of Prophecy? If you do you should read this book. Full of adventure, this book is perfect for everyone, I especially loved this book because it keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way throughout the book.
This book is about a Nightwing seeing his own tribe for the first time living on a volcano about to erupt, seeing his tribe look sickly, (smelling their horrible breath,) and seeing how they kill. Does he want to join his tribe or stick with his friends (Glory, Tsunami, Clay, Sunny)? Can he get back home? Will he ever get powers? Starflight lived in a cave for his whole life, and now does he wish he could go back? At least we had food… he thought. With the war going on and the Dragonets of Prophecy suppose to fix it, with two crushes, having to tell Glory everything, and meeting his tribe for the first time, his adventurous life is stressful. But he is confident he will live to see Sunny again.
Starflight tries to follow his friends and follow his fellow Nightwings advice to get through this hard time, in the end, I think he tried his best and was heroic. The other books in this series are all written like this. And I don’t mean the same writing style, I mean all the problems are about the same. For example, Tsunami has to decide to become queen or go with her friends, Starflight has to decide to try to get back to his friends or live with his tribe.
I recommend this book to anyone that is 3rd grade and older, and who also likes a little bit of adventure. This book is really exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
